Dear schoolmaster:
Sports facilities play an important role in college students daily life.It is necessary of the college to build more sports facilities. In college, students not only study hard but also need the sports facilities to relax themselves or enhance physical during their spare times.
But there are so few sports facilities in our school. That isnt a good news.Students lives are very dull. Most of them spend their times just in reading room or playing games on net.I advise you to consider this seriously and build more sports facilities.I am looking forward to you answer.
Wish you a smooth work.
Yours respectfully,

Dear new students,
Welcome to Zhejiang International Studies University.
Just two months ago, we bid farewell to the university’s first1202 enthusiastic and promising graduates. Their departure promptsme, as their president and teacher, to reflect on what we haveaccomplished together during their three or four-year stay here andwhat we need improve for the incoming students. I went to a fewgraduates with this question. Their answers both surprised andencouraged me. The most memorable aspect of this university, theyreplied, is not the buildings, facilities, and campuses which “haveyet to be made a bit more impressive” (as they used to complain),but rather, her conscientious and warm-hearted teachers and staffwho attach great importance to student growth.
Teachers and staff in this university care much for theirstudents, not only for their progress in study, but also for theirmaturity in character, their development in moral integrity, andtheir achievement in soul-making. Upon your arrival this comingSeptember, you will surely meet a smiling teacher who will besitting with you in your dorms, listening to your concerns andhelping you acclimatize to the new environment. Starting from yoursophomore year, you will have mentors who will help you overcomewhatever difficulties you may encounter in your study and life. Inclassrooms, your teachers will throw themselves heart and soul intoperspective-altering teaching and help you explore the true meaningof free spirit, self-reliance and independent personality. In thesubsequent years of your university life, as you branch out to trynew challenging and creative endeavors, your teachers will guideyou to a myriad of research projects and campus activities thatwill give full play to your potential. If you intend to experiencethe real world, your teachers will initiate you to social practice, helping you understand the present social condition and true valueof human existence. Finally, as seniors, your teachers will adviseyou through the next transition in your life, whether that isjob-hunting or pursuing further graduate studies.
Perhaps, some of you have been told that, in universities, teachers and students are “distanced”: the professors are off doingwhat they call academic work, often leaving their students to theirown. That, however, is not true in this school. We believe that theparamount obligation of a school is to nurture students, to helpthem grow, mature, and advance in the general direction of theirdreams. Of course, academic-powered faculty, together withimpressive college buildings, state-of-the-art facilities, all areindispensible in running a university. But they are just the means, not the end. The ultimate end of highereducation should be the cultivation of a whole person. The successof a university relies on the success of each individualstudent.
Have you ever read Kahlil Gibran’s poem “On Children”? I’d liketo use his poetic image of “bows and arrows” to inspire all of us.Let us, the teachers, be the bows from which you, the students, “asliving arrows are sent forth.” The bows will be stable and ready tobend themselves with gladness so that the arrows can “go swift andfar” toward “the mark upon the path of the infinite.”
With best wishes,
Hong Gang
President of Zhejiang International Studies University

Dear Mr. President,
As a regular student at our college, I have some complaint to make about the canteen service on campus.
Firstly, the canteen environment is very bad. Actually, it is becoming more and more crowded and noisy with an ever larger presence of vocational students every term. Secondly, the canteen workers are bad-mannered. Far from being warm and kind-hearted, they always seem to be cold and rude to us students. Thirdly and most importantly, the dishes at our canteen are too expensive, though they are by no means good quality or delicious. The survey the Student Union carried out last week reveals that on average a student will spend 10 to 12 yuan on meals every day. This is for more than the food expenses of students in the neighborhood colleges.
Nutritious and delicious meals well within the students' means are very important for young students. I really wish measures could be taken to improve our canteen service.

i am writing this recommendation to support ms. tseng pu-yis application to your tesol program.
i have known ms. tseng for over 2 years. ms. tseng was first a student at our center taking toefl and gre preparation classes. because of her excellent performance, ms tseng was later asked to work as a teaching assistant from 19xx until now. ms. tseng stood out among many students, as she is an eager learner and raised good questions. she works hard on her language skills and has made improvement. i believe she has the ability to succeed in graduate study.
ms. tseng has led 4 classes with 50, 85, 90 and 87 students, respective, for a total of over 300 students. her duties as a teaching assistant include attending to teachers requests in classrooms, helping students individual needs and speaking to her classes everyday. ms. tseng has out-performed our expectations. she is a responsible person who prepares carefully ahead of class everyday. we have never heard any complaints from the teachers she works with. being a teaching assistant can sometimes be a tiring job, as one must constantly resolve every students questions and problems. the job can also get repetitive and exhausting. nonetheless, ms. tseng works patiently with each and every one of her students.
i find ms. tsengs excellent performance as a teaching assistant to be a good indicator that she will excel in your tesol program and later in her career pursuit. ms. tseng has demonstrated her passion for teaching, good public speaking skills, eagerness to help students and ability to work in teams. i believe these are all essential characteristics observed in good english teachers. i strongly recommend ms. tseng pi-yu to your program.

Dear Principals:
Hello, I know you deal with a host of problems every day every day, but your busy schedule took some time to take a look at. You are a long, busy things to burn every day, organized in schools.
Here, I took the liberty to put forward two proposals to you:
1. each toilet install a door. Because we are students, toilets without doors, after all, can we have some trouble, inconvenience. If you are concerned about individual students can damage or random graffiti, you can this demerit points or penalties, mutual supervision of students!
2. give us a covered car park of wind and rain. From far away we have hit the car, sometimes wind or rain, and rain. Car tire easily or rusted, you bear to see colorful car rusting. So I hope you can give us a car on a House.
Above recommendations hope you adopt, if there is inappropriate, please indulge!

Dear Principal:
Hello! You take the liberty to write this proposal, please have your taking the time to look at. You are the school principals, there are many things to do every day. You worked hard for us to work into the enthusiasm of the school. Making the school organized.
However, you have overlooked an important place for the fourth floor - the library. So full of knowledge, it forgot its mission, burst after burst into the asleep. In the sacred school in and shut the door to a knowledge. Did you know? How many want to study the eyes, looking through the window, "elusive" bookshelf. You know all this? Let us remember the last time you cleaned the library, when, where dusty, just finished with the mop a table cloth on black. Is such a building for the students and the knowledge base, willing to drown in Hunhuang on the dust in it? Many schools also should not have happened with the "ready" development to the "tyranny": 1, many students can not distinguish between the books as the advantages and disadvantages, blind read books on the growth of harmful bad; 2, the recess after the job done , because nothing to do, created a dangerous playing crazy crazy; 3 hours because they did not develop the habit of reading, many people only accept teachers to teach mechanical knowledge, they are not extra-curricular learning. In view of the above three points, we sincerely ask you the following suggestions:
1, the reading room open as soon as possible, to buy health books, purchase "A Hundred Thousand Whys", "encyclopedic knowledge Filmography" and other informative books. And periodic replacement of the best books, the students have been anti-boring;
2, so that they act as "librarian" has Fangsi book, steal the book phenomenon;
3, after the end of each semester to carry out "book club" and "knowledge to answer" so that we get knowledge, but also cultivate a sentiment, it has been fun.
Above suggestions, please adopt, so the campus and added a antique book aroma. If inappropriate, please forgive me.

Dear Mr. President,
Im a student in our university. I am writing this letter to inform you of the canteen service on our campus.
Generally speaking, we are not content with the canteen service in our university. The reasons are as follows: First, although quality of the dishes is not bad, yet, most of the dishes remain unchanged all the year round. More and more students are complaining about eating the same food every day. So I think variety of the food is the most urgent problem that should be solved.
Second, the environment is not the same as we desire. Many students always talk so loudly that we cant enjoy our meals. So I suggest that there be some slogans on the wall to remind them to be quiet, and some soft background music to help us relax.
By the way the canteen workers are very patient in providing us with the service. So I think they should be given more incentive to offer us better service in the future. The above mentioned are not just what I think, but the idea of many of my classmates. We will be very glad if you can take our suggestions into consideration.
Best wishes,
Yours Sincerely
Li Ming

Dear Mr. Sharon,
My name is Heindrick from A2 Class-Building Contruction Major. My purpose of writing this letter is I want to complain about the service of our school canteen, while most China Univerities have applied electronic system to their canteen service our canteen fall behind with the limitaton of only being able to use cash. This lag point cause we spent to much time while buying food at school and small change become a big problem too.
Hope Mr. Sharon will consider the idea to apply an electronic billing system to our University and therefore save student from wasting time again there.
Yours,
XXX
